Four tracks, one room
A recording studio is a chain of systems that must agree with one another. We take responsibility for the whole chain, from the microphone cable to the cloud backup, so the room behaves exactly the way it should on every session. Each discipline below is a full practice, not a checklist. No subcontractors, no mystery fees, and no finger pointing when something fails in the middle of a take. The team that designed the chain answers for it.
Recording
We design and install the complete capture path, from microphone preamplifiers to the analog to digital converters mounted in your rack. Careful gain staging, sample clocking, and cabling keep the signal clean from the very first take, so there is nothing to repair later. A session that begins clean means a mix that begins with everything intact. We select each converter and preamp against the music you record, not against a spec sheet, so the capture path serves the song rather than the catalog.
Mixing
Our mixing systems bring every recorded track into balance with calibrated monitors, room correction, and recall friendly routing. We integrate the control surface, the software, and the loudspeakers so that every decision made in the room translates to every playback system your audience owns. You hear the record the way it will be heard beyond the building. Automation, monitor switching, and session recall are set up to survive the gap between one engineer and the next, so the mix stays consistent even when the personnel changes.
Mastering
We build mastering chains that add polish without surgery, using precision metering and careful loudness management across every delivery format. Each master is prepared for streaming, vinyl, CD, and broadcast with consistent character and level, so the record holds together from the first single to the full album. The finished master travels well beyond the studio walls and survives the platform wars. Reference listening is calibrated in the same room the master was made, and we keep the chain documented so the mastering sound can be reproduced for every future release.
Studio support
Beyond the build, we keep the room running day after day. Firmware updates, backup routines, cable audits, and performance checks happen on a schedule you can depend on, without you having to ask. When something goes quiet, one phone call brings the system back to life before your session even notices the interruption. Our support agreements include a written health report after every visit, so you always know the state of your systems and the plan for keeping them that way.
The rack, unit by unit
We build in rack units, one device at a time, so the whole chain stays ordered, ventilated, and serviceable. Every unit earns its place, and every cable has a home. This is computer integrated systems design in its most practical form. When a unit needs service, you pull one box out of the rack instead of tearing down the whole chain, and the documentation we leave behind makes that service fast and safe.
Tracking
Preamps and converters on one stable clock.
Mixing
Control surfaces, monitors, and recall.
Mastering
Analog finish with digital precision.
Delivery
Formats, loudness, and archival media.
Fidelity is the whole point
An audio company lives or dies by signal integrity. Three commitments shape every decision we make in your room, and we are happy to be judged against them. These are not slogans. They are measurable targets, and we verify them with instruments before we hand the room back to you. Good enough is not a term we use in this building, and it will not be a term you need to use either.
Clean signal
We design gain stages that stay quiet at any level, so noise never becomes part of your sound. Every cable, clock, and converter is chosen for transparency rather than for the sticker on the box. We measure noise floors and frequency response in the finished room, and we report the numbers honestly so you know exactly what the room delivers.
True capture
What goes into the converters is exactly what comes out. We calibrate the path so the take matches the performance, take after take, and so the artist can trust what the speakers say. Level alignment and latency compensation are checked across every input so that overdubs lock in the way they should, session after session.
Lasting masters
A master should survive every platform and every decade. We document the chain, store the masters in multiple locations, and preserve the work so it remains yours forever. File naming, checksums, and archival formats are part of every delivery, because the second copy in a safe place is what makes a master truly lasting.
Bring your next record to Provo.
Tell us about the project and we will design the system around it. Sessions begin with a conversation and a cup of coffee at 3585 N University Ave, and every plan starts with what the music needs rather than what the catalog offers. There is no charge for the first meeting and no obligation to proceed. If we are not the right fit for your project, we will point you to a team that is. We serve Provo and the surrounding valley, and we also work with studios across the country on design, calibration, and remote support.
